Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., a leading historically African American Greek lettered Sorority, today announced that Rasheeda S. Liberty was elected the 25th Internaional Grand Basileus of the organization during the 58th Biennial Boule in her new rol, Ms. Liberty, a 26-year member of the renowned sorority, will lead the organization as it celebrates its 100th year. We Are Sigma Strong 6-Part Webinar Series (March 27, 2020)
COVID-19 is now a part of our daily lives! We are all practicing social distancing and many of us are sheltering in place at home. To help our members navigate this new normal, Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority’s board of directors leveraged the expertise of our members and other professionals to provide needed support during this time of uncertainty. March 23, the Sorority announced the launch of a six-part webinar series to support members and their families with topics meant to bring resources, tips and peace of mind. COVID-19 Updates on Youth Symposium & Chapter Operations (March 13, 2020)
The Sorority’s leadership has been closely monitoring the status of COVID-19, including, but not limited to, reviewing guidance by the Centers for Disease Control, the World Health Organization (that recently declared COVID-19 a pandemic), and decisions made by state and local authorities throughout the United States to cancel events and limit or public gatherings.
